Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with patient care, including preparing patients and equipment for procedures
• Take and develop dental X-rays and impressions, ensuring accuracy and comfort for patients
• Teach patients proper oral hygiene and care for braces, aligners, and retainers
• Sterilize and organize dental instruments to maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
• Schedule appointments, update patient records, and support the flow of the office

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or willingness to obtain certification
• Current X-ray certification in Maryland
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus, but we welcome those with a passion to learn
• Excellent communication and patient-service skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and move between chairs and clinic areas

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency with dental software for patient records and imaging
• Strong attention to detail and infection control standards
• Compassionate approach to patient care, especially for children and teens
• Team player who thrives in a fast-paced practice
