Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient exams and procedures
• Prepare sterilization trays and ensure instruments are ready
• Take and process dental radiographs with precision
• Help fit and adjust braces, wires, and other orthodontic appliances
• Educate patients on oral care and post-treatment instructions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Orthodontic assistant certification required (must be ortho certified)
• Maryland state certification or compliance (as applicable)
• Experience working in a dental or orthodontic setting
• Comfort with dental software and digital imaging systems
• A compassionate and patient-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and equipment
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Skill in taking impressions and radiographs
• Strong communication with patients and team members
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced office
