Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during patient procedures, keeping everything running smoothly
• Prepare operatories and instruments for each patient, following strict infection control standards
• Take intraoral scans, impressions, and digital X-rays for treatment planning
• Educate patients and their families about orthodontic appliances and daily care routines
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all orthodontic supplies are stocked and ready
• Provide exceptional patient care in a warm, welcoming environment from check-in to checkout

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Dental Assistant with an active orthodontic assistant certificate required
• Dental assisting experience in orthodontics is a plus; we are happy to meet you if you have your ortho certification
• Outstanding communication skills and a caring, professional chairside manner
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team and stay organized in a busy practice

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and dental materials
• Familiarity with digital radiography and dental practice software
• Strong infection control and sterilization practices
• Excellent interpersonal skills for educating patients and families
• Attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting
