Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform professional dental cleanings and periodontal therapy
• Assess patients' oral health and accurately document findings
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Provide personalized oral hygiene education and preventive care guidance
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining strict infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and periodontal care
• Proficiency with dental radiography and x-ray safety
• Familiarity with dental software and patient records
• Commitment to infection control and sterilization best practices
