Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during examinations and procedures, creating a calm and positive experience for young patients
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and dental instruments to maintain a clean, safe environment
• Take and develop digital x-rays accurately, helping the dentist diagnose and treat with confidence
• Educate children and their families on proper oral hygiene habits in a fun, encouraging way
• Maintain detailed patient records and help with scheduling, ensuring every visit runs smoothly
• Support the dental team by managing inventory and supplies so you are always ready to provide top-notch care

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• CPR/BLS certification
• Radiography/x-ray certification (or willingness to obtain one)
• Experience in pediatric dentistry or a strong comfort working with children
• A positive, patient-focused attitude and genuine love for helping kids smile

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent communication skills to connect with children, parents, and the dental team
• Strong understanding of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and OSHA guidelines
• Comfortable with digital dental software and record-keeping
• Careful attention to detail when assisting with procedures and updating charts
• Patience, empathy, and a cheerful demeanor even during busy clinic hours
