Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Take and process dental X-rays, positioning patients for optimal imaging
• Provide patients with clear instructions on braces care and oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes
• Support the clinical team with inventory management and administrative tasks

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred, or successful completion of a dental assisting program
• Current radiology (X-ray) certification or the ability to obtain one
• Experience in orthodontics is a valued bonus
• Gentle, caring demeanor with excellent patient communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced dental setting
• Comfort with dental software and digital record keeping
