Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures, keeping everything running smoothly.
• Prepare treatment rooms and patients for orthodontic care.
• Take and process dental x-rays with a gentle, reassuring touch.
• Sterilize and organize instruments to keep the office efficient and safe.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Document treatments in Denticon to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent preferred
• Current x-ray certification or willing to obtain
• Experience in orthodontic assisting is a big plus
• Familiarity with Denticon software is helpful
• A can-do attitude and a passion for helping patients smile

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Attention to infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental office
• Knowledge of orthodontic tools, brackets, and wires
• Team player who can also work independently
