Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures, keeping everything running smoothly.
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for orthodontic care.
- Take and process dental x-rays with a gentle, reassuring touch.
- Sterilize and organize instruments to keep the office efficient and safe.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Document treatments in Denticon to maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent preferred
- Current x-ray certification or willing to obtain
- Experience in orthodontic assisting is a big plus
- Familiarity with Denticon software is helpful
- A can-do attitude and a passion for helping patients smile
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Attention to infection control and safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental office
- Knowledge of orthodontic tools, brackets, and wires
- Team player who can also work independently
