Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist oral surgeons during wisdom tooth extractions and other surgical procedures
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse oximetry, to keep patients safe
- Monitor patients under nitrous oxide and IV sedation, ensuring comfort and stability
- Capture panoramic X-rays to help the surgical team plan and execute precise treatments
- Prepare and maintain a sterile, organized operatory for every procedure
- Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients before, during, and after surgery
Qualifications
- Experienced Dental Assistant with a passion for oral surgery
- Hands-on experience with nitrous oxide and IV sedation monitoring
- Proficient in taking panoramic X-rays
- Knowledge of wisdom tooth surgery techniques and protocols
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting
Knowledge & Skills
- Taking vital signs (BP and pulse oximetry)
- Administering and monitoring nitrous oxide and IV sedation
- Panoramic X-ray imaging
- Oral surgery assistance, including wisdom tooth extractions
- Sterilization and infection control best practices
- Excellent patient communication and chairside manners
