Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for patients in an acute care setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving daily living skills
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to provide integrated patient care
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment
• Document patient progress and modify treatment interventions to achieve optimal outcomes
• Advocate for patients' functionality, independence, and quality of life

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapist license or eligibility
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Preference for experience in acute care or similar hospital setting
• Ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate with colleagues

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of occupational therapy assessments and evidence-based treatments
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Critical thinking and adaptability to varying patient needs
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach
