Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI procedures independently, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
• Ensure the safety of patients and staff by strictly adhering to MRI safety protocols and guidelines.
• Exercise independent judgment and initiative while working under limited supervision under the direction of the Director of Radiology and Medical Director.
• Provide compassionate care to patients of all ages, positioning them properly and explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to optimize imaging quality and patient outcomes.
• Maintain and operate MRI equipment, performing quality control checks as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Previous MRI experience in a hospital setting.
• Active ARRT Registry (R) and MRI Registry.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Venipuncture Certification (or obtainable within 3 months of hire).
• At least 2 recent supervisory references.

Education

• Graduate of a formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols.
• Expertise in radiologic technology and magnetic resonance imaging.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and imaging techniques.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures.
