Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of MRI procedures independently, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Ensure the safety of patients and staff by strictly adhering to MRI safety protocols and guidelines.
- Exercise independent judgment and initiative while working under limited supervision under the direction of the Director of Radiology and Medical Director.
- Provide compassionate care to patients of all ages, positioning them properly and explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to optimize imaging quality and patient outcomes.
- Maintain and operate MRI equipment, performing quality control checks as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- Previous MRI experience in a hospital setting.
- Active ARRT Registry (R) and MRI Registry.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Venipuncture Certification (or obtainable within 3 months of hire).
- At least 2 recent supervisory references.
Education
- Graduate of a formal AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols.
- Expertise in radiologic technology and magnetic resonance imaging.
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and imaging techniques.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures.
