Shift Type: Week-long on-call rotation (Monday to Monday): Monday-Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night); Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (24-hour on-call coverage; if called in during 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM the on-call tech is required to cover the shift). Alternate evening option: Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM - 12:00 AM or 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM with call and holidays. Rotating (day and night).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams using Philips 1.5T and 3T systems (and support Siemens 1.5T when available) to help clinicians make confident diagnoses
• Screen and prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring safety and addressing concerns with care and professionalism
• Operate imaging equipment and adjust protocols to optimize image quality while following department standards
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in EPIC for clear communication across the care team
• Respond promptly to on-call requests and provide reliable coverage during your rotation, minimizing downtime for patient care
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and technologists to prioritize studies and deliver excellent patient experiences
• Maintain equipment quality control, follow MRI safety policies, and keep certifications up to date

Qualifications

• Certified MRI Technologist (ARMRIT accepted) or equivalent MRI certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
• Hands-on experience with Philips 1.5T and 3T scanners; Siemens 1.5T experience a plus
• Comfortable using EPIC charting system for documentation
• Willingness and ability to work on-call rotations including nights and weekends
• TX license not required for submission

Education

• ARMRIT or equivalent MRI certification required
• BLS certification required
• BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency operating Philips 1.5T and 3T MRI systems
• Familiarity with Siemens 1.5T (noted upcoming equipment)
• Strong MRI safety and patient screening knowledge
• Experience with EPIC for imaging documentation and charting
• Ability to manage on-call and call-back situations calmly and efficiently
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Comfort working in an acute care environment
