Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 36 hours per week, every other weekend, schedule includes rotating shifts

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced med/surg and telemetry unit
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient conditions
Administer medications, perform treatments, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
Document patient progress and collaborate on discharge planning
Educate patients and families on post-hospital care and health management

Qualifications

Active RN license in Connecticut (or compact license)
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
ACLS certification preferred
Minimum of 1 year recent med/surg telemetry experience
Ability to adapt to new environments and work as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Med/surg nursing skills including wound care, IV therapy, and pain management
Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
Excellent communication and patient education skills
