Roles & Responsibilities
- Ensure precision and safety in radiation therapy by performing comprehensive quality assurance on treatment machines and imaging systems.
- Design and verify life-changing treatment plans using advanced software like ARIA RadOnc, collaborating closely with radiation oncologists.
- Champion patient care by reviewing and optimizing dose distributions, ensuring each treatment is tailored to the individual.
- Uphold the highest standards of radiation safety, protecting patients, staff, and the community.
- Drive continuous improvement by maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and software, including EPIC and SHARE DRIVE CTC-RadOnc.
Qualifications
- Active certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Medical Physics or a related specialty.
- Current BLS certification (or willing to obtain).
- Hands-on experience with ARIA RadOnc, EPIC, and SHARE DRIVE CTC-RadOnc is a huge plus.
- A collaborative spirit and a passion for patient safety and care.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of radiation therapy physics and dosimetry.
- Proficiency with treatment planning systems and record-and-verify systems.
- Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and quality assurance protocols.
- Analytical mind with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
