Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (shifts vary); call requirements include two to three 12-hour weekend shifts per six-week schedule (Saturday/Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), one asterisk call shift per week, and holiday call coverage.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing care for Trauma, Neuro, and Ortho surgical cases
- Maintain a sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
- Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping before surgery
- Monitor patient vitals and anesthesia response throughout operations
- Document intraoperative care accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond calmly and effectively during emergency surgeries and on-call shifts
Qualifications
- Active Idaho RN license (or ability to obtain one before start)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Proven experience in Trauma, Neuro, and Ortho surgical nursing
- Ability to commit to call shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of OR protocols, aseptic technique, and surgical instrumentation
- Strong critical thinking skills for fast-paced surgical environments
- Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff
- Excellent patient assessment and monitoring skills
- Familiarity with electronic health records and OR documentation
- Flexibility to respond to call within a reasonable timeframe
