Location: Las Cruces, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (days vary), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM Day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, direct patient care to residents according to care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Assess and monitor patient condition; report changes promptly to the care team
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
Collaborate with nurses, clinicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
Support patients and families with education, comfort, and clear communication
Adhere to infection control, safety, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

Current, active LPN license (must be valid in New Mexico)
Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required or willing to obtain
Prior LPN experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred
Ability to work per diem schedule, including occasional weekends or holidays
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in medication administration and documentation
Skilled in taking and interpreting vital signs and patient assessments
Familiarity with wound care and basic clinical procedures
Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate charting
Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
Solid time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
