Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, including medication administration and wound care
• Monitor and document patient status and vital signs accurately and timely
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and the care team to implement care plans
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and support them
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and complete required documentation
• Identify changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the appropriate clinician
• Adhere to infection control and safety practices to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in good standing
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
• Local to Albuquerque or able to commute independently — this is a local-only assignment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited Practical Nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical nursing fundamentals and hands-on patient care skills
• Accurate medication administration and documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and charting
• Good assessment skills and the ability to recognize changes in condition
• Time management, organization, and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
• Professional bedside manner and patient education skills
