Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate direct patient care, including medication administration and wound care
- Perform accurate assessments and monitor patient status throughout the shift
- Document patient care and observations clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with RN and interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans
- Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
- Assist with procedures and provide safe, patient-centered nursing interventions
- Escalate changes in patient condition promptly to ensure excellent outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required; other certifications a plus
- Comfortable working day shifts with a 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM schedule
- Local-only candidate required; must be able to reliably commute to Albuquerque
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred; strong clinical judgment and patient focus
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Vital signs monitoring and documentation
- Wound care and basic dressing changes
- Electronic medical record (EMR) charting and documentation
- Strong communication, patient education, and teamwork skills
- Time management and ability to prioritize in a busy clinical environment
