Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients during the overnight shift
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and promptly report changes in condition
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate, timely patient charts
• Support patient and family education and assist with discharge planning as needed
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Demonstrated clinical competence in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred but new grads with strong clinical training are welcome

Education

• Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing (LPN) from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment and monitoring of vital signs
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Clear, professional communication with patients and care teams
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
• Basic wound care and assistance with activities of daily living
