Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide strengths-based clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for adults with mental health needs
• Deliver evidence-informed individual and group therapy, focusing on safety, stabilization and long-term recovery
• Lead crisis interventions and coordinate timely referrals to higher levels of care when needed
• Maintain clear, timely, and professional documentation in the patient record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support holistic care and continuity across services
• Provide culturally responsive care and advocate for patient needs within the facility
• Participate in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and clinical supervision to promote best practices

Qualifications

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential — active license required
• Experience working in mental health settings; experience in correctional or forensic settings is highly relevant
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills with demonstrated competency in treatment planning
• Ability to complete required background checks and facility onboarding for work at a correctional facility
• Excellent verbal and written communication, documentation, and collaboration skills

Education

• Master of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent graduate degree (typical for LCSW credential)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions for mental health disorders
• Crisis intervention and risk assessment skills
• Group therapy facilitation and individual psychotherapy techniques
• Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical records
• Knowledge of correctional mental health practices and safety protocols
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a varied caseload
