Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate day-to-day care and assistance to geriatric residents
• Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Document and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff
• Help with mealtimes, including feeding assistance and monitoring intake
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant training program
• Current CPR/BLS certification (as required by facility)
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with facility requirements
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption per facility policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Genuine compassion and patience for working with older adults
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of residents' rights and confidentiality
• Ability to respond calmly and confidently in changing situations
