Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility and transfers, helping residents maintain independence
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff promptly
• Provide nourishing meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
• Offer compassionate companionship and emotional support to residents and their families
• Document care provided accurately and follow care plans

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption
• Must be able to pass a background check and health screening
• Must bring a state or federally issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• Previous long-term care experience is a plus, but not required

• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Clear communication with residents, families, and the care team
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
• Physical stamina and manual dexterity for resident support
• Knowledge of safety, infection prevention, and HIPAA practices
