Location: Lanham, MD
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), days vary by week (may include weekdays and weekends), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric patients during overnight hours
- Support activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
- Monitor patients and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Accurately document care delivered and patient observations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to follow individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar settings is a plus
- Ability to pass background check, TB screening, and any facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Physical ability to assist with transfers and mobility support
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited GNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic geriatric care principles and respectful elder interaction
- Infection control and patient safety best practices
- Charting and timely documentation habits
- Safe patient lifting, transfer techniques, and fall prevention
- Observation, reporting, and escalation skills
- Teamwork, time management, and adaptability during night shifts
