Location: Lanham, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as scheduled), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming with compassion and dignity
Provide safe and respectful patient transfers and mobility assistance
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
Support mealtime assistance and monitor dietary needs as instructed
Maintain accurate documentation of care, observations, and communications
Follow infection control protocols and promote a clean, safe environment
Communicate effectively and kindly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team to support quality care

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (or equivalent) in Maryland preferred
CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Experience working with geriatric populations or in long-term/post-acute care is a plus
Reliable, professional, and compassionate approach to resident care
Ability to pass required background and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited Geriatric Nursing Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant training program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on skills with transfers, bathing, toileting, and ADL assistance
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Understanding of infection prevention and resident safety practices
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude
Time management and the ability to work well in a team
