Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to geriatric patients
Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and observing behavior
Document care accurately and clearly in the facility record
Collaborate with the care team and communicate with families to support resident needs

Qualifications

Active GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
Current CPR/BLS certification recommended or preferred where applicable
Demonstrated compassion and experience working with older adults preferred
Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with team members
Reliable, punctual, and able to pass facility-required background and health checks

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
Knowledge of infection control and safe care practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to document care clearly and accurately
Empathy, patience, and a positive, resident-focused attitude
