Location: Brooklyn Park, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report any changes to the nursing team
Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
Accurately document care given and observations in resident charts
Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe living environment for residents
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and families to deliver person-centered care
Participate in team huddles and training to continuously improve resident care

Qualifications

Certified Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) or equivalent certification
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Prior experience caring for older adults is a plus
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and elder care best practices
Basic understanding of infection control and safe handling procedures
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Comfortable with documentation and charting in a clinical setting
Strong time management and teamwork skills
