Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, resident-centered care to older adults
Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Measure and document vital signs and observe changes in resident condition
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate care updates to the team
Promote a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents
Engage residents in social and therapeutic activities to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing settings
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude
Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of geriatric care principles and dignity-centered approaches
Skill in assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
Familiarity with infection prevention and basic safety protocols
Ability to observe, record, and report changes in resident condition
Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
Basic documentation and charting skills
