Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (night shift; specific days not provided)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
Safely transfer and ambulate residents, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
Document care accurately and legibly according to facility policies
Support mealtime assistance and monitor dietary needs as directed
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, kind communication

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (or state equivalent) in good standing
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
Previous experience working with geriatric or long-term care residents is a plus
Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently on night shifts
Ability to pass background and health screenings as required by the facility

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable with personal care and assisting with ADLs
Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling practices
Strong observational skills and basic clinical awareness
Good communication skills with residents, families, and clinical staff
Dependable time management and documentation habits
