Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and any changes in resident condition accurately
• Support the nursing team with safe transfers, positioning, and basic treatments
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Document care provided in a timely and thorough manner to support continuity

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) — ready to work with older adults
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings
• Comfort with physical aspects of the role, including safe patient handling
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification or completed GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living support and elder care best practices
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn EMR systems
• Compassionate patient interaction and effective teamwork skills
• Attention to detail for following care plans and reporting changes
