Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Per Diem; schedule varies)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to geriatric residents and brighten their day
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
Monitor residents for changes in condition and report observations promptly
Support safe mobility and fall prevention with careful transfers and ambulation assistance
Collaborate with the nursing team to implement individualized care plans
Document care accurately and maintain resident dignity, privacy, and comfort

Qualifications

GNA certification required
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
Experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong communication skills

Education

High school diploma or equivalent and GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of geriatric care principles and best practices
Skill in assisting with activities of daily living and safe resident handling
Strong observational skills to notice changes in condition
Basic documentation and charting proficiency
Team player who works well with nurses, therapists, and families
