Location: Bowie, Maryland

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Night)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with dignity and kindness
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
Document care accurately and timely to keep the care team informed
Provide compassionate companionship and engage residents in social activities
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures

Qualifications

Current GNA / Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification (required)
Comfortable working night shifts and providing hands-on resident care
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
CPR/BLS certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass background checks, health screenings, and facility onboarding requirements

Education

GNA / Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification required
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic resident care and ADLs
Understanding of infection control and standard precautions
Ability to take and report basic observations (appearance, behavior, appetite)
Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
Compassionate bedside manner and patience with geriatric populations
Good documentation and time-management skills
