Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 36 hours/week, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all acuities
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Triage and prioritize care in a fast-paced Level 1/2 trauma center
Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses
Provide patient and family education and emotional support
Document accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

Active RN license in Connecticut or compact state
At least 1-2 years of recent ED experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC), and TNCC certifications
Strong critical thinking and ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expert assessment and intervention skills for emergency conditions
Proficient in cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and wound care
Effective communication and teamwork in rapid-response settings
Comfortable using electronic health records and medical equipment
