Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required, 36 hours per week

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Level 1/2 trauma center
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement patient care
Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and patient status changes
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Connecticut or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum of 2 years recent ED experience in a Level 1 or 2 trauma center
Ability to work 36 hours per week, including every other weekend
Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency department nursing and trauma care
Advanced cardiac life support and pediatric resuscitation
Patient assessment and triage
Team collaboration and adaptability in high-stress environments
