Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists chairside during exams, cleanings, and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatories to ensure a safe environment
• Take and develop digital x-rays with a gentle, child-friendly approach
• Help children feel comfortable and at ease throughout their visit
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with treatment planning
• Educate parents and patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Wisconsin dental radiography certification or ability to obtain before starting
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• A positive, patient-centered attitude and strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Skill in taking digital dental x-rays
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Compassionate chairside manner and patient engagement skills
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
• Teamwork and effective communication with staff, patients, and families
