Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready
• Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures, keeping young patients calm and comfortable
• Take and process dental X-rays as directed
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage clinical supplies
• Support the team in delivering a positive, gentle dental experience for kids

Qualifications

• Valid Dental Assistant certification or licensure as required by Wisconsin state regulations
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Experience working with children in a dental setting is a plus
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem hours

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with dental radiography (X-ray) procedures and safety
• Understanding of pediatric patient care and behavior management
• Skilled in using dental practice management software
• Excellent teamwork and multitasking abilities
