Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from illness or injury
• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions that promote functional independence and improve quality of life
• Monitor patient progress, document interventions, and update care plans in a timely manner
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care
• Maintain and organize therapy equipment and supplies
• Support patients in daily living activities and provide education to families
• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all residents

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license required
• P-OTA class designation
• Experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of occupational therapy interventions and assessment techniques
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in documentation and electronic health records
• Ability to adapt interventions to individual patient needs
• Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid billing practices
