Roles & Responsibilities

• Partner with our pediatric dentist to provide gentle, high-quality care to children
• Perform four-handed chairside assisting during exams, fillings, crowns, and extractions
• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments so every little smile feels safe and welcome
• Take and develop digital X-rays with kid-friendly explanations
• Coach children and parents on at-home oral hygiene and treatment plans
• Keep the clinic running smoothly by stocking supplies and supporting the care team

Qualifications

• Wisconsin Dental Assistant certification or registration (RDA) or the ability to obtain before start
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Dental radiography/x-ray certification
• Experience working with children in a dental or medical setting (preferred)
• Comfortable working an evening shift until 10:00 PM
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-oriented personality

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental instruments, materials, and chairside procedures
• Knowledge of dental radiography and digital imaging software
• Familiarity with OSHA and infection control guidelines for dental offices
• Child-friendly behavior management and communication techniques
• Strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Great organization, recordkeeping, and customer service skills
