Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, keeping patients calm and comfortable
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories for safe, top-quality care
• Take and mount dental X-rays with precision and care
• Support orthodontic treatments by handing instruments and managing supplies
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and caring for their orthodontic appliances
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to a smooth, welcoming practice

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) or equivalent certification required
• Experience in orthodontic or dental assisting is a big plus
• A friendly, professional chairside manner that puts patients at ease
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• X-ray and radiation safety certification where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of orthodontic instruments, materials, and techniques
• Knowledge of dental terminology and patient care best practices
• Skill in taking dental X-rays and digital imaging
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication skills with patients and team members
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to every visit
