Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients of all ages
• Take and process dental x-rays to support accurate diagnoses
• Review patient health histories and document conditions and concerns
• Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and personalized aftercare instructions
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe clinical environment
• Work alongside dentists to deliver a smooth and positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Previous clinical dental hygiene experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control protocols
• Comfort with digital radiography and dental charting software
• Skill in helping patients feel relaxed and clearly explaining oral health guidance
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality care
