Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional preventive dental care, including professional cleanings, scaling, and polishing
- Educate patients on best practices for at-home oral hygiene and preventive care
- Take and process dental X-rays and assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Document patient histories and treatment plans accurately while maintaining patient comfort
- Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols to ensure a safe environment
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
- Current CPR/BLS certification is required
- Radiography/X-ray certification per state requirements
- Excellent clinical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to build rapport with patients and provide gentle, compassionate care
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of periodontal disease and preventive dentistry
- Proficiency with dental software and patient charting
- Knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards
- Skilled in patient education and communication
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
