Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional preventive dental care, including cleanings and polishing, to keep patients smiling
- Assess patients' oral health and partner with the dentist to create personalized treatment plans
- Take and process dental X-rays with care and precision
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of routine care
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming clinical environment
- Document patient care accurately and keep records up to date
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience performing dental cleanings and radiographs
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical dental hygiene skills
- Knowledge of dental radiography and safety protocols
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
- Great patient communication and education abilities
- Attention to infection control and sterilization standards
- Ability to work efficiently with the dental care team
