Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to patients
• Assess oral health conditions and document findings for the dentist
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Apply preventive treatments like fluoride and dental sealants
• Educate patients on effective oral hygiene techniques and care
• Maintain strict infection control standards and patient safety

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Openness to working in a variety of practice settings on a per diem basis

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy
• Proficiency in digital X-ray techniques and equipment
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and interaction
• Understanding of OSHA standards and infection control protocols
• Comfort using dental practice management software
