Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, adjustments, and procedures while keeping patients at ease.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory spaces to ensure a safe, clean environment.
• Take and document high-quality dental X-rays and orthodontic records as directed.
• Guide patients and families through braces care, oral hygiene instructions, and treatment aftercare.
• Support front office coordination by updating patient records and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver seamless, high-quality orthodontic care.

Qualifications

• Orthodontic Certification is required - we want someone who's got the credentials!
• Experience as a Dental Assistant in an orthodontic practice is a big plus.
• Proficiency with dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and patient prep.
• You thrive on creating a positive, comfortable experience for your patients.

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic procedures, brackets, wires, and appliances
• Chairside assisting with the ability to anticipate provider needs
• Dental X-ray and imaging safety practices
• Infection control and OSHA standards
• Clear communication and a warm chairside manner
• Organizational skills to manage patient flow smoothly
