Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during examinations and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms with the proper instruments and supplies
• Sterilize and disinfect dental equipment following OSHA guidelines
• Take and develop dental x-rays while ensuring safety protocols
• Provide comfort and reassurance to young patients
• Educate children and their families on proper oral hygiene practices
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or licensure in Wisconsin
• Radiology certification and the ability to take x-rays
• Pediatric dental experience is a plus but not required
• A caring, patient demeanor, especially with children
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred
• BLS/CPR certification is required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and four-handed dentistry techniques
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a pediatric-focused setting
