Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance to the orthodontist during patient exams and procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms, ensuring a safe, organized workspace
- Take dental X-rays, pour models, and handle orthodontic materials and appliances
- Support patient care by explaining treatment steps and answering questions with warmth and clarity
- Keep patient records current and assist with daily workflow so the practice runs smoothly
Qualifications
- Current orthodontic assistant certification required
- Compassionate communication skills and a patient-first attitude
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the clinical team in a fast-paced practice
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic terminology, instruments, and treatment techniques
- Understanding of dental radiography and safety practices
- Skill in infection control and sterilization procedures
- Great interpersonal skills to put patients at ease during visits
