Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to the orthodontist during patient exams and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms, ensuring a safe, organized workspace
• Take dental X-rays, pour models, and handle orthodontic materials and appliances
• Support patient care by explaining treatment steps and answering questions with warmth and clarity
• Keep patient records current and assist with daily workflow so the practice runs smoothly

Qualifications

• Current orthodontic assistant certification required
• Compassionate communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the clinical team in a fast-paced practice

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic terminology, instruments, and treatment techniques
• Understanding of dental radiography and safety practices
• Skill in infection control and sterilization procedures
• Great interpersonal skills to put patients at ease during visits
