Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during procedures with a calm and reassuring presence
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms to maintain a safe environment
• Take and process dental X-rays while keeping patients comfortable
• Educate parents and children on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and support smooth appointment flow
• Monitor and stock dental supplies so the care team is always ready

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state registration as required in Wisconsin
• Previous dental assisting experience is a plus, especially with pediatric patients
• Current CPR/BLS certification is preferred
• A warm, patient-focused approach when working with children

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control protocols
• Comfort using dental practice management software
• Excellent communication skills with children and adults
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
