Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in delivering patient-centered therapeutic care
• Implement treatment plans and therapeutic activities under OT supervision
• Monitor and document patient progress, response to interventions, and goals
• Educate patients and families on techniques, adaptive equipment, and home programs
• Prepare, maintain, and sanitize therapy equipment and supplies
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and caregivers to coordinate safe, effective care
• Contribute to a positive, encouraging environment that helps patients regain independence

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential (COTA/OTA)
• Colorado licensure as an OTA or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Comfortable working in a post-acute or rehabilitation setting
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude
• Current CPR/BLS preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or completion of an accredited OTA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and mobility assistance
• Skillful at implementing OT treatment plans and activity-based interventions
• Solid clinical documentation and charting abilities
• Good clinical judgment, patient safety focus, and infection control practices
• Time management, organization, and the ability to prioritize caseloads
