Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support residents during meals and hydration, documenting intake and output
• Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for every resident
• Collaborate with the care team to uphold each resident's quality of life and personal preferences

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent
• Must present a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• Completed COVID-19 vaccine series or a documented medical/religious exemption
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred, but passionate new grads welcome
• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident rights and HIPAA privacy practices
• Confidence in taking vital signs and documenting accurately
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergencies
