Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record patient conditions, including vital signs and behaviors
• Assist nursing staff with transfers, ambulation, and safe mobility
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient record
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Support infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff
• Create a warm, respectful environment that preserves patient dignity

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active/state-appropriate certification or willingness to obtain state certification promptly
• Comfortable working night shift hours and supporting a busy care team
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
• Previous experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Ability to document care clearly and follow care plans
• Compassionate patient interaction and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced environment
