Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Assist with vital sign checks and routine observations, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Document resident care and observations accurately and timely in the chart
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Follow infection control practices and facility policies to protect residents and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Class: CNA) required
• Certification or eligibility for certification in Pennsylvania preferred
• Previous CNA experience in long-term care or acute settings is a plus
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observing resident condition
• Familiarity with infection control and safety practices
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Team player who communicates clearly with nurses and other care staff
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks safely
