Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report observations to the nursing team promptly
• Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and teammates
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, person-centered care
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment while following infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active state CNA listing or ability to obtain state listing as required
• Basic familiarity with resident care routines in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
• Comfortable working as part of a collaborative care team and communicating observations clearly
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background check, and any required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong hands-on caregiving skills and attention to resident comfort and dignity
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nurses and support staff
• Basic documentation and charting abilities
• Awareness of infection prevention and safety procedures
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly
